Earned 7 varsity letters in cross country, gymnastics and track & field

Cross country, earned 3 varsity letters – Helped Blue Blazers to IHSAA state team championship, semistate, regional and sectional and Northern Indiana Conference championships in 1973; team completed unbeaten dual meet season, 1973; in junior season, individual sectional and regional champion; helped Blazers to sectional and NIC team championships; in senior season, helped Blazers to NIC, sectional and regional team championships and 6th place in IHSAA state championships; individually, placed 4th at IHSAA state finals, earned All-State honor.

Track & field, earned 3 varsity letters – Won NIC mile and 2-mile championship.
