Bradd P. Eldridge, Concord High School (1980)
Bradd is the 5th leading basketball career scorer at Concord High School with 981 points. As a senior he scored 540 points, averaging 23.5 per game. He was CHS’ MVP his junior and senior years as well as All-Conference both years, a unanimous selection in his senior year. Bradd also starred as a tennis player at Concord where he earned 3 letters, had 46-11 overall record, regional tournament champ two years and All-Conference two years. Later played four years of basketball in the Carolina Conference for Catawba College; was selected to the All-Conference Tournament Team as a freshman. Bradd was honored with the “Murphy Osborne Award,” for the top student athlete among all Carolina Conference participants. He ecame a licensed basketball official and served as color commentator with WTRC Radio for past 7 years.
