IKE PHILLIPS, Nappanee High School, 1930

Ike was an outstanding high school athlete, but has been selected to the Hall of Fame as a dedicated volunteer to high school sports. His selection is based on his more than 45 years of service to Nappanee and NorthWood high schools. Ike was named to the All-Sectional basketball team in both his junior and senior years and qualified for the state track finals in the low hurdles. A life-long resident of Nappanee, he has been a fixture at athletic events, having been timekeeper in football and basketball and a starter in track since the 1950s.
