John Miller

John Miller, Elkhart Central High School (Volunteer)

John is a graduate of Elkhart High School. Following his college years at Indiana University, he returned to Elkhart to play a prominent role in the business and educational community. He is being inducted for his untiring support of Elkhart Central HS athletic and educational programs. Following are some of his past volunteer activities: President, Parent Advisory Council; helped initiate ECHS Dollars for Scholars; President, Elkhart Central Blazer Club (3 years) and helped make it a support program beyond athletics; developed football and basketball game programs for 17 years; girls basketball timer and announcer; announcer and scorer for baseball; spotter and announcer for football; timer at home and scorer away for basketball; timer and finish line camera for boys and girls track meets; etc. John received an “E” blanket for volunteer service to athletics as well as the Marvin Wood Award for volunteer service.
